Hey everyone, I'm looking into replacing my hatch for my '85 Seville MC. The previous owner made a make shift hatch lid out of fiberglass and hinge from home depot. It either opens all the way (lays flat) or closed.

I want something original with a shock so I can leave it half open to get some fresh air flowing in when cruising. the frame (outer edge to outer edge) measured 20 3/8 by 18 1/4. Anyone know where I can find one? Can't find anything close to these dimensions online.

Here's a photo...

Thanks in advance.

This is the same answer many others will give for finding replacement parts for older Sea Ray's - either "Flounder Pounder Marine", or Great Lakes Skipper. Those are the two largest sellers of OEM or other replacement parts for the older Rays. Good luck.

Cool. Thank you. I will check those places out. What about an aftermarket hatch. Is there a place that would have those dimensions?

For what you're looking for, ALL hatches are aftermarket (Sea Ray doesn't make them). Check the dimensions of the cutout hole and then look at online (or better yet, a local store) retailers and see what would fit... even if you had to make the hole a little bigger. For manufacturers, try Bomar and TaylorMade - take a look at their websites.

What about just adapting a "shock" setup to your current hatch? They're not actually "shocks", but you get the point.

I looked and looked and still cant find anything in that size. I really dont want to hack into it to make it larger. I'll check with my local boat store when I get a chance.

In the mean time, I think I'll just add a shock to it, and put new weather stripping to keep water out.

Thanks again ! If anyone happens to come across one with my wanted size, please let me know.
