PORT RICHEY (Bay News 9) -- A boat that caught fire Tuesday afternoon on the Pithlachascotee River near Sunset Boulevard in Port Richey has sank.
The fire prompted the evacuation of a nearby Hooters restaurant.

The man and woman who were on the 23-foot boat jumped off and swam to safety. The Port Richey Fire Department and the police department responded to the scene.

Didn't even hear about it on the news...wonder if they were coming or going? Maybe the captain had a few too many and forgot to turn on the blower?

Yea that surprised me too, Fox 13 did a segment last night that NOW is the time to buy a boat but they show some crappy crown line or something I don't remember the brand.
