Spider cracks are not uncommon in gel coat on all boats. Depending on the process and quality, one may be worse than another. Generally it is just that, spider cracks in the gel which has no structural impact. Sometimes it's because of the layup and the gel is to thick in that area.
But even though it's not structural and any big deal, it's not always pretty, but almost 100% of boats at some time will get them.
