Boat / Airplane ? THE EKRANOPLAN

Looks like turning radius would be oh -100miles??? maybe more, You could not make a turn of more than 10-15 degrees without diping the wing into the water or ground.....Better have this thing pointed in the right direction when you open the throttles...Just saying....

Wing-in-ground, last on the list of who has the right-of-way on the water.

That's the "W" in "Only new reels catch fish, so purchase some worms."

One good wave catches a wing at 300MPH and all that is left are the PFD's

What a tricky maneuver, and in WW11 Harvard trainer a/c as well.

Can you imagine a P-3 or S-3 doing this? Notice they are parallel to the ripples in the water and that #4 is also way offset to #3, making sure that if the others dunk he won’t be caught up in it!
This was pretty daring. Just one little ripple or downdraft etc., and it would all be over!
Early morning anglers are treated to the spectacle of four T6 Harvard Aircraft from The Flying Lions Aerobatic Team water-skiing across the Klipdrift Dam near Johannesburg South Africa.
Arnie Meneghelli from Academy Brushware, owner of the aircraft, had this to say, 'What we did today I believe is a world first. It illustrates that South African air show pilots are amongst the best in the world.'

This unusual act, approved by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and supported by Castrol Aviation, was meticulously planned and took place under the watchful eye of divers and paramedics that were on site.

As close as I can come to boat/airplane is a 2001 340 DA and a 1972 Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Unlike Russia or the US we are on a very limited budget.
