Ohhhh I'll tag along....I have had this on my short list for the past 3 years. Just never pull the trigger.

I already had dual batteries, and purchased the controller early in the season. Mounted it above the batteries...it has a nice little glowing light when the system is live. Not quite sure what it has done, but it hasn't hurt anything.

The key difference here is that it has a wire to the engine start relay that will isolate the loads on the house battery like electronics from the low voltage drop of starting the engine.
