I have the traditional SeaRay two battery factory setup. One battery seems to go to the starter, one to accessories, and there is an orange Perko switch in between them with options for 1, 2, both or off.

I installed the Blue Sea ACR 7610 however, I only used three wires...one each to the positive terminals of both batteries, and one to the ground bar. I did not run a wire to the starter isolator (whatever or whereever the hell that is). That wire was listed as optional in the instructions.

As far as this part goes...not problems. Little light on it comes on. Batteries seem to be charging. All good. I usually run with the Perko set to 2 and click over to 1 when we are parked with the stereo on. So far, no problems.

I had the misfortune the other day to come across the Blue Sea instructions for their "Add A Battery" kit and it looked like their battery isolator was an entirely different animal than the Perko...with just 1, off and emergency positions on the orange isolator switch. With the ACR, should I be running on the 1 and not worrying about switching to both? Even parked?

I have searched threads and tried to figure them out, but this is not my world and I am just a bit flummoxed. If anyone has any input, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
