The boat is an 03 280. The button on the helm lights up when the blower switch on the generator panel is activated, and turns off when shut down. However, the button on the helm will not activate the blowers. All other functions on that switch pad appear to be working (trim tabs etc). Since the pad is common to many models am posting here for possible solutions.

check the wires on back of the rocker switch at the helm to insure one or more has not worked loose....if they are all tight and the connections look clean it may just be a defective rocker switch....they can and do go bad sometimes....simple job to replace it....just make sure you get an exact replacement since there are different types of rockers which can control a single or multiple items....

good luck....

He's got the switch pads Cliff...

Check the breaker on the EIM (not sure whether it's the one in the bilge or under the dash).

I will, would there be a separate breaker for the helm switch? Since the blower works from the generator panel. Not near the boat until Sat, so just asking.

Yes, the switch pad activates a relay in the EIM that is breaker protected. The switch on the panel is paralleled with that relay/breaker.

OK...We may have inadvertantly tripped it when we were chasing another issue Saturda, that makes complete sense. Thanks

Hi ,hate to bring this up but those pads are notorious for going bad, common problem on the sea rays. Be careful sometimes it will work and the light will not come on. Seen this happen with the trim tabs where once the button was press the the motor would just keep pumping, just something to look out for
