Block Island Get together June 5 & 6

It sounds like a familiar story - We are taking possession of an 05 280DA pending a successful survey - We are thinking very serious about this trip. We are a bit east of WB.

Crap... sorry i didn't catch this earlier. That's awesome, congrats!!!! :smt038 PM me if you take the trip. I am talking to the wife about it, if we end up going, maybe we could follow each other?!?!

I have gotten e-mails from people asking if anyone can come.....ABSOLUTELY....We are not a club or anything.....Just a group of people that love boating, great destinations and the opportunity to meet people who have boating in common.....No agendas or anything...Just kick back, do your own thing and have fun.....

Block Island is our favorite spot on the Southeastern New England coast. We are already reserved for three weeks out there this summer. We almost always stay at the Boat Basin. We have two dogs so having the floating docks makes life a lot easier. We are planning a Newport trip for Memorial Day Weekend, and I don't yet know what are plans are for the following weekend. If we are free, we will consider the weekend in question if the weather will be good.

Our little rig may be backing out this year.....Unfortunately I will be traveling for work those two weeks to Lisle, IL.

We are planning on a weekend to BI this summer but June 5th might be too early. My biggest question is where to stay. I am going with 3 girl friends and every year have always stayed at Ballards... mainly because it is close to the more single type night life. We are afraid if we go to Champlins it will be more family oriented and quiet...
Any thoughts on this???

I have a couple going with me who will be staying in the hotel at Champlins......We will be looking for the nightlife.....We will take Cab...Come Join us

Oh we will create our own night life. Champlains famous mudslides for everyone! Oh did I tell you guys that I own a liquor store too? Any requests? We are coming over with another couple, the ladies are taking the ferry, and threatening to stay in a B&B, I guess they think we may get a little too wild?

And my boat has a name "Atunamatata", and is a 370EC, not a sundancer, as stated on the blog.....

I was at Champlin's for the day yesterday....beautiful day. My first time there and the margarita's were only $6. Boy did they taste GOOD.It was quite empty, but still early in the season.

Hope you all have fun...I was entering the harbor and saw a HUGE Sea Ray leaving, waved and gave a big smile, and the guy just looked at me and kept going...oh well you try to be nice.

Hopefully I will see everyone there. Hopefully I wont be the only one there. Have a safe trip! Weather looks great for drinking

Jag, you got champlinss all wrong, bring the girls and hit the bar on the dock. 3 girlfriends? and your getting off the boat?

Guys we are dropping out. Not gonna make it to the block this weekend. To much going on.

Have fun.

Wish I could join you guys, sound like a lot of fun. My boat is still out of commission...but I hope to be back on the water within the next few weeks.

We will not be at the Block this weekend. Sunday is the pick of the weekend, weatherwise. Saturday may not be a great day. Hopefully, we'll get a little cruising in on Narragansett Bay this weekend now that our alarm problem has been solved.

We are booked at the Block from June 26 through July 4th. We go back to the Block on July 18 through July 25. Two weeks later we have another vacation scheduled and it may mean anothe eight day visit to the Block or perhaps we may do a Cuttyhunk/Martha's Vineyard run. We usually like to keep that third vacation week open for most anything on the water.

By the way, we always stay at the Block Island Boat Basin. We have two dogs and really enjoy having a floating dock where we can just walk off the boat when necessary.

I will be there on Friday, should arrive around 1pm.....Hope the weather improves, but am looking forward to a great weekend anyway! My buddy Jack and I are on board, but the ladies, Debbie and Sue are coming on the ferry.

Well, I really wanted to get there, the admiral has overruled. Something about having to attend graduation ceremonies for friends Saturday. Uggg... I'd rather be down there.

Save us some mudslides, we are trying to make a run out there tommarow (Sat) mid day and stay till Sunday

It's allways a beutifull day at Champlins....
