Block Island Get together June 5 & 6

Last year we tried, but we needed a better cruise director so I will try again.


Block Island on June 5 and 6......Lets try to get some boats together....The marina (champlins) will not be full, no rafting and it will be a great time to go.
 
Weather permiting and if the Striped Bass are biteing count me in! Hope to get to know some of you other New England Sea Ray owners. If we make it that would be our first long distance cruise in our new Amberjack if you call 30 miles long distance..
 
You can pencil me in for 6-7. Usually easier for me to get a monday off than a friday. But I'll know more in may... what month are we in now? Is it spring yet?
 
To help out, give me your name (captain) and where your home port is.....some people might be a bit nervous getting there and if they could follow someone, that might encourage people to make the trip.

Sorry, kiddies in school in June.
Block too far for a weekend.. wish I could burn 300+ gallons and not care.(darn gas hogs)
Will be in Block last week July or first week in Aug.

Great thread to keep going all year long for other gatherings.

I would love to meet others out in Block but I am penciling in the second week of Aug. for now. If fuel goes to $2.50 a gallon I would be in for a long weekend in June too. Let's hope!!!
 
You can tentatively count me in for at least Saturday and hopfully Friday as well.

We made the "early season" get-together last year over in Cuttyhunk....turned out to be just us and Double The Madness. Let's see if we can get a few more boats this year!!!
 
I would be interested in making the trek over.....Shouldn't be far from Stonington/Mystic.

Can anyone tell me how long of a trip it would be from the west end of the Cape Cod Canal? Would love to come, just trying to make a plan...

56nm. Assuming a calm day with little wind and a cruising speed of 20kts 3 to 4 hours. Could be up to 5 or 6 if you have to go slow.
 
I am thinking I could be the dingy on this trip!!!!! Any other smaller boats coming over for the day???
