Block Island 8/7 - 8/12

Anyone from here going to be in Block this week? I will be heading over to MYC on the 12th....

I'm going to be at MYC 8/5-9 and then plan on heading to Champlins the morning of the 9th. Haven't made a reservation on Block yet though so I may be stuck at MYC until the 12th, when we head for Greenport.

We will be at Champlins as well, I am sure these days it is not an issue... I did hear it is the fishing tournament next week.

Fishing tournament starts this weekend, champlins is dead at the moment.

Really? I should do Block the 1st week in August next year.... Dave what time are you leaving Sunday? We should be pulling in around 10 AM...

Hi Larry, we may leave Saturday as the waves are forecast to be 3-5 on Sunday vs a calmer day on Sat of 1 ft or less. If it changes we would leave on Sunday about eleven.

Did I miss that forcast? 3-5 on BI Sound? I saw last 2-4 and that is in the afternoon on Sunday.... If your concerned in your "ship" I should be very concerned! If it is do to the storm down South, I don't think that will not affect the seas by us till late Sunday posably Monday if at all.

We will be in Champlins on Sunday through the week, come over. I will buy first round of mudslides! My wife was just saying after seeing the weather for the week that if it is going to rain she wants to go to Newport.... We love Newport, but having an 8 year old Block is more conducive.

I have been away from the board for a while, but I am glad I checked in. I am going to be there Wednesday until Sunday at Champlain's. Unfortunately my boat wont be with me so I will tag along with my dock neighbors Maxum. We are leaving Monday morning for Old Saybrook then Tuesday to Niantic. We will head to Block from there Wednesday morning weather permitting. This is the guys trip we take every year. Hope to see everyone Wednesday.

It was good to see Larry and Neil! We had a blast as usual. Hope your trip to Montauk was nice. We left Sunday at 7 am and the race was the best part of the trip. It poured the whole ride home. The glue came off the davit mount and we had some excitement with me on the swim platform in 3-4 footers disconnecting the dink . Thank God for life jackets....
