What is the best way to add biocide to your diesel, while the tanks are full??

Any tips?

Peter

Hi Peter
Its best to put the product in before fueling. The fueling helps mix it up a bit.

Thanks for reply Dave,

That's just my problem.
I think I had some water in my tank, because I didn't close one of the deck plate caps real tide....

But my tanks are full because of the winter.

Maybe I put a long hose in..?

Peter,
The fuel pickup is about 25mm off of the bottom of the tank. It will take a few gallons to get to that level. For now keep a close eye on the Racors and drain as needed. I'm not in the habit of recommending a biocide. It would be better to use a water absorber or wait for the water to get to the Racor and drain it out.

Pat, I don't think that a lot of water is in my diesel.
But I want to be sure that no bacteria come in.

The technical guy where I bought it, advised me to circulate my diesel with a pump.
Also I bought diesel dry additive.

Peter.
