Bimini Trip June 22-26

No, I'll have my bad ass cruiser ready for Wednesday. I had a 23 item "to do" list for the boat and only one item remains tonight. That item is to have the diver clean the bottom on monday or tuesday be fore we leave. I spent most of today on items 17 - 22.

how about you?

Randy

Be careful and have fun! Report back on how that hitch set up works!

After exhausting myself and working as hard as I can, my boat is still not ready to splash, so I'm sadly not able to go.. I feel worse for my son, who flew down to be with me and go, but I still have at least 1/2 a day of work to do in the yard, and then the boat has to be run to test the engine that quit, a new radio added, fuel truck needs to come etc...Just not enough hours in the day and I'm so burned out and stress out from it all.. So plan B will be to spend the weekend with my son playing some golf, going out on the boat with some friends of his that live down here, and just relaxing and enjoying him being here.. Hopefully in July I'll be able to find a way to go on one of the 2 Bimini flings...

Everything happens for a reason! I'm going on the July 27th trip. Would be nice to have a fellow CSR member along!

Thanks Randy, Adam and I were so looking forward to being there with you guys too... Just got home (9:30) from the boat yard and can hardly move... Hoping to get the boat in the water tomorrow afternoon, and then test the engine and see how everything runs... Still have a lot to do on the boat, but can do the rest from my dock... Have some conch salad at Joe's for me (and some Bimini bread) !! Know you'll have a great time and we'll miss you all!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you all get back!

I can't wait for an update to see how the trip over was for the 280! Come on Lance....report!!

Not sure if Lance will reply or not, the internet is spotty here. We arrived on Wednesday, the seas were 2-3 feet. The rest of the group arrived on Thursday, they said the seas were about the same. I heard that some boats turned back after clearing the inlet due to the seas. The weather is great, very sunny and hot. The water here in bimini is awesome, clear as gin. I tried to upload a picture but it's taking to long so that will have to wait.

today, we'll head out to the Sapona for some snorkeling and then to Honeymoon Harbor for a raft up lunch.

More later!

So Lance made the trip and is there? My wife has ordered her a bean bag chair...lol

I'm curious to see how the 280 faired in the 2-3 footers also. Lance, give us an update on fuel usage too.

What an awesome trip everybody!!!! The boat used around 50-60 gallons to cross, beat our teeth outs about half the way over, I'm thinking 3-4 over not 2-3........Just my observation, wife said we need to upgrade. Trip home this a.m. was good, following seas and a nice clearing path thanks to White Pearl.
