I've noticed that the ~2002 and newer weekenders (215/225's) have what appears to be a longer bimini than mine. I'm considering a canvas upgrade to a larger one, or possibly adding the second bimini. I measured mine, and it's 4.5 ft long. It's also about 6' 8" off the cockpit floor. I'm only in the shade at high noon...
Has anyone got any measurements on the newer models? if not, anybody care to take a measurement while youre out this weekend and get back to me. Looking for your feedback as to whether you have any similar complaints with yours.
I like the idea of all the shade I'd get by installling the second bimini, but really don't want the added bows on the stern blocking the gunwhales and casting off the stern, etc. I'm thinking about having a 3 bow, 6 ft bimini made, having it fitted to my existing stern cover and front eisenglass, and having new side curtains made.
Any thoughts?:huh:
