I've bought a used 2009 175 Sport. It has no bimini, but it does have stainless steel mounts for the frame and back stay. It looks like it receives a ball joint but not sure? Its got a spring loaded pin that rotates but doesn't remove, like its a self retaining design? Does anyone know if this is OEM or who makes/supplies compatible hardware? I'd like to buy an aftermarket bimini but I'd like to be able to use these existing fittings. fitting.jpg Thanks.

OEM parts are from TACO Marine (no joke).

Look at FPMarine online, and others to find OEM biminis, or build your own. The ball ends (that mate to your brackets) are available in lots of places.

Good luck!

That's an OEM setup from Sea Ray. First, ask the owner if he still has the bimini - it could be in his basement and he just forgot about it. If you got it from a dealer, ask them if they have it in their back room or ask them to contact the owner for you.

The fittings are made by Taco. You can get the OEM top (direct fit, for sure) from a Sea Ray dealer - or try contacting a place like Great Lakes to see if they can help you. Or, buy an aftermarket bimini (and then purchase the proper fittings separately) that will match the original top in terms of width of the bimini and length of every leg. If not, it may not fit correctly into the fittings at the locations already on the boat.
