Bilge temp and bilge pump monitoring

New to us boat will be here (DFW area) next week, and we plan on using her year round. As part of prepping her, I had an Xtreme bilge heater installed.

As we're a bit of a drive away, I'm curious if there's a simple, reasonable system to monitor both bilge heat and bilge pump operation - via a gizmo and cell phone app?

I found this, but was hoping for something a little more simplistic.
