hello all and Happy Memorial Day Was going thru my monthly check list before the weekend. When activating the soft key for the bilge pump, the blue indicator light began flashing and the pump did not activate. So I then went into the bilge and operated both the bilge and high water pumps thru the floats. Both pumps worked fine when operated manually from the floats. I then recycled the battery switches, and the bilge indicator would not activate at all, nor did the pump work from the switch. I then went back into bilge and both pumps again worked normally when activated thru the float switches. My questions: does anyone know what caused the “ blinking” indicator light? Does anyone have any idea how I can get the pumps operating and trouble shoot to Get the manual bilge soft button working? As some other background info all the other soft keys on that panel ( hatch, windlass, horn, blowers, etc all working normal.
Those soft key switch pads and the modules they control are very problematic and my bet is your problems with them have only just begun. You are not going to like the price on this solution but at least the switches are much more reliable and easily replaced individually if one would should fail in the future. https://www.fpmarine.com/EIM-Replacement-System-p/sr-panel-eim-290-350-eyebrow.htm
Ouch! Hopefully it’s only the pump switch. I’m not overly concerned with this switch as the float switches still work. I didn’t know if there was a way to reset something that might clear it up??
