Bilge Blower light on panel/helm flickering

Our bilge blower light on its switch at both cabin panel and helm is flickering when blower is turned on. Our Searay service told me this happens if you have the switch turned on on the downstairs cabin panel.

This weekend i checked and if i hit the switch on the panel in the cabin it turned off the blower. The light flickers no matter which switch i use to turn on the blower.

Is this the way it should work?
