Looks like it will mostly up your way but,
Winterized
Bubbler will go in first thing
Bilge heater is on.

plenty of good bourbon at the house

Water Temps are still in the high 40's low 50's in the creeks. Fresh water systems are winterized, heater in the engine room and lazarette. Will winterize the bridge A/C Heater since those lines are susceptible to freezing temps. Solon and cabin reverse heat is keeping the office toasty for now...

Winterized and stored inside. Bring it on!

Plan on spending more time online, if thats possible, shopping for my next boat!

Stay safe everyone. Travel looks like its going to be dicey for the next few days. We are lucky that the nor'easters rarely extend to the Toronto area. Looks like it may be a "green Christmas" for us here, although we'll be heading up north to the cottage boxing day and there will be snow up there I expect, although not much.

The boat is all winterized and all lines are doubled. The marina has a bubbler system. I also have 2 radiator style heaters that I can turn on with my phone for when it's really cold. Remote temperature sensors are in the salon, bilge, and 1 on the dock. I also have 4 cheap Wyze cameras so I can see what's going on. Left NJ for Florida in October and won't return until May.

Well this one got me by surprise, ain’t had one in 3 years. Still got cockpit cover on. I going boat tomorrow. Gonna unsnap the cover behind helm seat. Let the snow accumulate in back of cockpit. And I think that will reduce the pressure on the canvas.

We got our big storm front in FL last week - got all the way down to 49° in Ft. Myers! Heck - I ALMOST thought about getting out my one pair of long pants - but I didn't!

Sorry guys, couldn't resist!

No kidding. I thought I might have to put the house up for sale!!

If that’s the plan make sure the scupper drains are clean and working. You want it to drain as it melts

Just came from boat. Marina said leave cockpit cover on. For what you said, don’t want scuppers freezing closed then water backs up into boat. And don’t want engine hatch freezing closed. Saw lots of boats with canvas up. They said 3-4” by the bay, my canvas can support that for a day til I can clean it off.

It must be really really bad as I saw this morning that de blasio just closed outside dining at restaurants because of snow.... its so much easier now that we dont have to think for ourselves

You’ll be fine. I’m not buying any of this forecasting. Shoot, they are calling for 2-18” around Baltimore. What sort of forecast is that? Not to mention 8” above 95 and 1” south of 95. Never seen a storm drop off like that. We will get an inch and a lot of rain...

We have that phenomenon here in Indy.... south of I70 gets hammered... north of I70 where I live gets nothing.... this includes Tornados, snow and other big storms...

I totally agree about the forecasting.
Not very technical but a pretty good read.

yeah, I’ve lived in this area all my life so I am familiar with the phenomenon. I have just never seen it go from 8 inches in one band to zero in the other. I wonder what it would be like to live on the demarcation line? I’ve seen it raining in my backyard and not in the front, but 8 inches of snow in the back and nothing in the front, that would be truly weird!
