So we moved our boat in 2010 to an area that has a 20 mile (40 round trip) long bike path that goes through the marina. Last year I started biking on it. I find it a nice thing early in the morning. Anyone else have bike paths at their marina? Or cycle in general? I found the wife likes to sleep in and I like to be moving around. I really enjoy it. To the point of upgrading to a carbon fiber bike.

At our marina here in Holland, MI, we have the main bike path to the state park and then eventually to the end of the pier head right in front. We have two folding travel bikes that we keep at the marina when not on the boat which we will use or walk.

Scott, I feel your hernia pain. I had double hernia surgery the first week of June. During the healing of that we found that I had adhesions and I just had surgery to cut the adhesions. Not the summer of Gary this year. No biking for me.

Scott - sounds like you have quite the collection. I bought a Giant TCR - Carbon which I am liking a lot. I would like to get a bike for the marina. Sounds like I just need to shop ebay deals and find a nice bike. Some amazing deals. I find that the exercise is good for me and allows me to enjoy boating more - I need variety at times.

For variety, you might want to try kayaking. Peaceful, plus good exercise for the upper body. I recently bought one for $300 w/paddle and love going to places in shallow creeks that you normally can't get to. Fun fishing too.

I own a dinghy and thought about selling it and buying a kayak.
