Does anyone have an amp installed on a 1999 210 br? I have it mounted up under the glove box on the wall behind the front bow seat. I am worried about not getting enough airflow too the amp and the potential for overheating. Any ideas would be appreciated, pictures would be even better!

I have the same boat and I just installed three amps up there.

I haven't had the boat out yet but I have been playing around with the stereo, adjusting the settings, for about an hour at a time and my amps haven't even got warm (granted it is only 50-55 degrees in the garage too).

I can try to get some pictures tomorrow.

Did you install a sub? I am working on that now but running into some issues with my mounting location. I would be curious to see what you did and how it worked out.

Thanks!

I mounted the box under the cooler. With the three brackets to hold it in. One on the right side into the wood, and two on the bottom into the fiberglass. It is halfway up the slope before it flattens out. I hope this is enough of an anchorage to hold the box from bouncing in the chop. I will ty to update with pictures as well.

I tried to take some pictures but the camera doesn't zoom out enough so it is hard to see.

I put 2 amps on the port side of the boat. I ran some angle iron on the port side to mount them to. On the front side, both ends of the angle start on the wood baffle that is behind the storage area under the front seats. One piece ends of the angle iron ends on the angled part of the box that the front left speaker is in, the rear of the top angle piece ends on the bottom of the top shelf.

I mounted the amps to these angle irons. This put one amp in between the cooler and the side of the boat. The other one is just in front of it.

The third amp is basically mounted on the baffle I talked about earlier. The bottom wasn't wide enough so I cut a piece of treated plywood that spans the distance between the baffle and the bottom of the glove box. I used another small piece of angle to support the plywood to the bottom of the wooden glove box.

I know that it is really hard to understand, I could attach pictures but I don't know how much they will help. I can if you would like.

Anyway. I didn't want to drill any holes in the fiberglass and I really didn't loose any storage space - which were my goals. I think it turned out pretty nice!!

FYI - If you are trying to run any wires across the boat here is a tip...The plastic wire conduit that is in the far upper corner by the passengers feet runs under the ski locker and over by the drivers feet. If you pull out the cup holder that is on the back side of the starboard bow cushion (closest to the driver) you can get access to the other end of that wire conduit!! I ran my all my speaker wires and sub control wires through it - worked great.

Also, the left rear speaker wire is routed COMPLETELY around the boat. (Actually three of the four speakers are but the rear left one is the worst) It goes from the radio, toward the front of the boat, all the way around the gunwale, under the bow and down the other side of the boat, through the engine compartment and finally to the speaker. It is only about 6-8 feet away if you run that wire the other direction out of the radio (counter-clockwise instead of clockwise)!! You can eliminate about 45 feet of wire (and resistance) if you re-run that wire. I was able to use the same wire and even leave the one end at the speaker. I carefully traced mine from the speaker back to the engine compartment then cut it right before it when into the wiring harness. I pulled the wire back the other way and it was long enough to make it to the amp - but just barely.

here are the pics, afraid after the install the pics were harder to take. one is the amp mounted behind the glove box on the wood. The other is the box mounted to the sloping fiberglass under the glove box and cooler.
