Hi All,
I have a 1988 30 foot Sea Ray Sundancer with a Benson Windlass on a Teak pulpit. I am trying to get the motor out as it isn't working. I have pulled the top off with the gear and unscrewed all the nuts and washers from below, but the motor still does not want to come off. I tried prying a bit, but don't want to damage anything. I have used a mirror to look for some bolts (I undid 3 that I could see), but it still feels solidly connected. Has anyone else had this experience?? Do I need to remove the entire pulpit to get the motor off?? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
