Installed the Bennett Auto Tab Control Saturday afternoon.
Straight forward install with Bennett supplied instruction and wiring harnesses. Find these controls to be great on bridge boats.
Previously installed them on a friend's 44 Gulfstar Motor Yacht.

Nice looking installation.

I am still contemplating installing the Auto Control system on my 260DA. When the wind is blowing, and the camper canvas is up, and we have a lot of people on board it is a bit much to keep up with all the little adjustments you need to do to the trim tabs to keep the boat level.

I have had them on a few boats in the past and cannot say how well they work. The more windage a boat takes the more you appreciate them. Install is straight forward and very simple. I put the Attitude Module in the bilge area and called Bennett today to order and additional cable because the 20 ft supplied was too short. Tech told me not to bother the module can be mounted in the bridge and would probably serve me better up there to monitor movement. Any other company probably would have sold me a $50.00 item! Not with Bennett.
Also I found mine on E-Bay, brand new in bubble wrap for about $100 off retail.
Good Luck

Dan, I thought I was the only one still using a Garmin 75 as back up.LOL

That was on the boat last year when I bought it.
If you scroll down this forum you will see the installation of a new CP180 Standard Horizon Chart Plotter GPS.
That said the Garmin is still on board and down below as back-up.
If it still works why not keep it.
Nothing wrong with redundancy.

Dan, I saw the new chart plotter after I posted, the dash looks great. I still use the garmin 75 along with my Garmin 225 chart plotter especially running over to Block Island in the fog.
like you said "nothing wrong with redundancy"

Has any one connected bennett auto tab to the new style sea ray helm. i do not have sperate tab buttons rather they are part of the dash pannel with other button controlls. I have remove the panel and they are connected to a common plug. Any info?

Let me know if you change it out, as I'd like to do that to my 320 too.

I tried to do something similar except with the horn button. I wanted to add "fog mate" which is an automatic signaling system for fog conditions after exaimination was stumped by the Sea ray multi button controll panel. Now I face the same situation with the trim tab buttons. Hopefully someone has and idea.

I have a 2006 260 Sundancer I just bought. The service manager at MarineMax said that the trim tabs are made by Lenco? Is this true? I would have to have the Lenco's removed and have Bennett's installed to make the Bennett Auto Trim work on this boat if that's the case.

Anyone know if they are Lenco's or Bennet's?

I think all sr use bennetts. the easy way to tell is if you have a hydrolic oil resiviour usually mounted on the transom then you have bennetts. lenco's use self contanted electric motors.
