Mercruiser 5.0L MPI w/Bravo III Drive
We bought a used 240 Sundeck last October, got it home in time to winterize and cover. It is in great shape with low hours and well maintained. The one negative was that the gel coat was in desperate need of attention. In the spring I buffed/polished/waxed, but didn't get as good of a job as I wanted, the weather just did not cooperate (northern NY). I pulled the boat early in September so I could do a proper job.

Here is the boat as it sat in April

And here is the boat now, very happy with how it came out.

Looks terrific. You should detail your process and materials used for others to learn.

I went with Shurhold products this time. Used their buff magic, wool and foam pads, and polish. As many other people have mentioned, not using too much buff magic is key along with buffer speed.

Beautiful! I love these threads.

Tom, That looks very nice. What are you doing next spring? I may have Beachcomber hauled out and might be looking for a qualified buffer operator!
