Beer....

Enough beer improves the taste of beer. I am picky with the first three, but after that, I become less selective.

I'm a low maintainence guy....bud light, miller light.....occassional corona

But, I agree with Tacoma...after 3 or 4, any beer seems to do.

I somehow ran accross this post since I launced it as "Nehalennia II" a long time ago. I've switched to a different Canadian beer since this original post. It's Kokanee. I like it.

Not much on the domestic beer. If its beer i'm drinking, DosXX amber.

Prefer whiskey or rum.

Nothing if i'm driving on land or water.

My favorite tasting beer is actually from your area - Mac & Jack. I had it many times during a trip I made to Seattle several years ago. Apparantly its only available on tap in the Pacific Northwest. Bummer - wish I could get it here in the mid-Atlantic. Also, long ago in the early '80s I lived in Burlington, VT for a while. We lived on all the Canadian beers in those youthful days. My favorite at the time was Brador. I have no idea if its still brewed.

Well, since I'm smack dab in the middle of beer heaven...
Any of the Craft Brewer Group (Widmer, Red Hook, Kona)- If any of you can find Widmer Nelson Imperial IPA, it's a must try. Kona Koko Brown is the only beer in the world that tastes better in cans. Trust me. Bridgeport and Rogue brew some dandies as well.

I had some good beer in Costa Rica 2 weeks ago. It was" Imperial". Did not take long to get used too. I normally drink Mich Ultra though..

One of my favorite packaged beer is Chimay (red or blue) and for every day I favor beers like Fat Tire or a nice IPA but I purchased, for the first time yesterday, some Ultra! I am on the last legs of the diet challenge I have with a few guys at work. I am down 20 lbs and want to finish strong but I am missing my beer! I can't wait until next weekend....

You cant argue with the Sam Adams seasonals. The Oktoberfest and Summer brew cant be beat. The wife and I just tried Shock Top Lemon Shandy. We were pleasantly surprised, went out and bought a case. Perfect taste without overpowering lemon finish. Might be the drink of choice this summer.

My regular beer of choice is Corona Light. When I'm out to dinner and they have it I like to drink Peroni.

On this note I have a question....I assume it might differ in each state/country but is it legal to have alcohol on the boat if obviously the operator is not drinking? When me and my buddies go fishing they like to enjoy a few cold ones and I don't partake since I am driving but is that legal?

Yes. The captain cannot be intoxicated, but passengers can partake.

If you ever have a chance to try any of the Okanagan Springs or Sleeman beers...from Canada...you'll never go back!

I like Bud Select...but not the diet stuff ....blaaaa

+1 on the Select. You can enjoy them for a long time...... I belive in Florida you can actually drive a boat with a beer in your hand (drinking it of course) as long as you're not impaired. I guess if you get stopped on your first one you'd be OK?
