Hi all,

A few weeks ago some folks were talking about my company on this forum, so I thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. I work with Dockwa, which is a free app/website (no booking fees) for booking slips and moorings at marinas, yacht clubs and shipyards. If you get a chance to check out the app, we'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions!

- Explore the website & create your free account: www.dockwa.com
- Click here to download the app for iPhone
- Click here to download the app for Android

In recent Dockwa news: Edgartown Harbor goes digital; new transient dock space at Navy Pier in Chicago; read more Dockwa news on our blog.

Thanks for reading!

The pricing you listed is accurate: no fees other than that processing fee, unless they opt into the Dockwa Growth package. If you know of any marinas/shipyards/yacht clubs that would be interested in joining, they can request a Dockwa demo here and we'll get in touch! Thanks for your interest - if you have any other questions, let me know.

I just booked my summer cruise. I used Dockwa for the two marinas that use their service and it was a pleasure! Easy to use, good communication and fast response. Some of the other, non Dockwa marinas, required multiple calls, emails, scanned or faxed credit card info, etc. With Dockwa I have seen the future. Also glad Becky is a real person!

Having to make multiple calls and send payment info over a non-secure line was what originally prompted the creation of Dockwa (here's more backstory on it in Forbes, if you're interested), so it's awesome to hear that the app eliminated some of that headache for you. Next summer hopefully they'll all be on board. :) Enjoy your cruise!

Becky, you should support this site if you're going to use it to promote your services.

Becky, I'm glad to see Dockwa get a presence in the Great Lakes. Is there a way we can suggest marinas for you to contact?

Can you accommodate yacht/private clubs as well? Clubs often have rules that would complicate the use of the app, but they could still benefit. ie: priority reservations to members with an account number, or reservations for non-members only during weekdays etc...

We do have private yacht clubs using our platform! We're continually working with our new and existing marina/yacht club partners to improve the app and expand our services.

You really need to contact Jim Maier at BOE, who owns clubsearay.com, about advertising on the site. His email address is:

Jim Maier <jim.maier@gmail.com>

Companies who use the site to sell services or products usually advertise and have excellent with good results because members generally support advertisers.

Great to hear. I just got off the phone with the dockmaster of a club I was hoping would be interested. His concerns were that they want to custom-fit available docks to specific boats and "keep control of things in general". I won't write him off though - I think there may be a compromise that could be a win-win.

Thanks, Frank! I'll shoot him a line and we'll look into it.

That ability to control dock availability based on size of vessel – and easily manage online availability overall – is already included in the Dockwa platform. If he prefers to chat with someone over email instead of a demo, he can drop a line to matt@dockwa.com, who'll get in touch right away. Either way, thanks for putting the feelers out!
