Good news! MM

Way to go! Glad you got her back on the water, Mike.

Some pre sea trial photos:

Note my nice ugly black aluminum props. I still have some cosemtic work to do...but thats what the winter is for.

Attached also was my little hiccup....Would have been on the water a week ago, but...to my embarassment, I got a little too excited when we got the boat back to gether, and I may have run her with out gear oil:smt021 So, now we have new gears in the STBD Unit.

Good to see you put her back in the water before the end of the season!!! Bravo :smt038

Im Lovin' my local MM today! They hooked me up with 2 Brand new MERC Vengance SS Props for $300 a pop off of $500 a prop:smt038.....Its a good day. I'm going to do an over night trip up to Apache lake tomorrow...Hope all goes well! The props are 13 3/4 by 21 P

FYI: the other lake I went out on was Canyon lake for those of you who were wondering.

Let me know how the props work out.

Those 4.3's seem to be running perfect.....just love to watch twins run. I should have stepped up to this 280 I just found on the web in Tenn.....twin 350's with Alpha 1's...not that I need to burn more fuel. I have to admit I'm not a big 454/Bravo1 fan but my boat has been working very well since I bought it June of 2010. The 350/Alpha1 just seems to always work in my CV-23 for the last 10 years, Mike.

Sweet boat....http://www.myboatpro.com/brokered_boats_knoxville/product.php?id_product=22

Congrats BBY, but why didn't go out on Bartlett Lake or Lake Pleasant?

Congrats BBY, but why didn't go out on Bartlett Lake or Lake Pleasant?

Well, I've been to Lake Pleasent, and I was just wanting to take her out and make sure she didn't sink, and since the incident happened on Saguaro Lake, I didn't want to tempt fate with sea trialing on the same lake that the accident happened on, so I chose the next best thing. I want to go to Bartlett, I've never been there with a boat, but Bartelett is on the BBY on every lake in AZ plan. IDK if I will make it up to that lake this year, but I will deffinatley make it up there next year. I want to make powell next year too!

Nice rig BBY and congrats on getting her back in action.

Just curious, how fast is she on the GPS SOG? Mine runs about 31 max at about 4100r's on the big block but I don't do that for long. You look like you're running a heck of a lot faster than that, but I know the 4.3's can twist up in r's better than the bb's....

Nice boat!

We were turning about 3800 at 39MPH SOG. I didn't have the hammers all the way down yet. Im going to see how she does with the new props today, and I will report back on what I see. My optimum range is 4300-4800, but the 4.3l can handle a little over 5-5,500 without to much destruction.

That's smoking fast for a 26-27ft boat. Damn, shoulda looked for one with twin 4.3's......

I went to a 16 x 16 prop to keep this thing on plane at 18mph. Hence, I lost a bunch of top end. Mine used to run 35 with the old 14.75 x 15p, but she would fall off plane around 22mph.

Those are really good numbers BBY. I cruise at 3800rps most of the time and get 30mph with a 454/Bravo1. My beam is a little wider but the weights would be close. I max out 4600rpms/38mph. Glad your back on the water, Mike.
