Looking to replace the three batteries in my 2003 280 Sundancer with twin 4.3 fuel injected and also with a generator. There are currently three starter batteries that are 2.5 years old and new when I bought the boat. Are these the correct batteries or should I also have a deep cycle. Second question is where I should set the battery switch when running. I keep getting different advice and I want to be sure I am doing it correctly.

I had the 2000 270 Sundancer with the same engines just didn't have a generator. I tried different batteries over the years and found the Interstate 1000 starting batteries to be the best.

Your boat should have dual purpose batteries which serve as starting and deep cycle. Group 27M is the most common but many use the Group 31M batteries.
