how quickly does your battery drain from the radio? I have been turning off the battery switch but the battery will drain within 2 weeks if I don't use the boat. Does anyone else have this issue?

With the switch "off", some things are still active: radio memory, ECM and bilge pump. 2 weeks is too fast, though. The batt should last longer than that. There's either a problem with the wiring or, more likely, a problem with the battery. You can check the wiring side by performing an "Amp Draw" test.

Having a new battery doesn't necessarily mean it's good. Also, it depends on how the battery has been cared for. Batteries need to be either used on a regular basis, or on a constant maintenance (note, I didn't say "trickle") charger to retain maximum life.

By the way, my radio is CMD4.

should not be bilge pump as plug is out and boat is tilted toward rear. no water accumulation.

I actually just got a new battery so maybe it will be better now.

The bilge pump is always drawing power, even if it's not running. Although, not as much.

It shouldn't be.
How does the bilge pump draw current when not running?
Unless the float switch is stuck. In which case it would be running.

Maybe I'm missing something?

It probably depends on the type of float switch. But, from what I understand, the "auto" style is always drawing a little bit.

From personal experience, mine always has a little light on.
