Anyone have any experience with BARR Marine products (Manifolds and Risers)? What is the quality of those products? Thanks.

I installed Barr on my 90 regal in Florida last year. They appeared to be of quality manufacturing and installation was without difficulty. So far no problems but it has only been a year.
The only disclaimer is I stick with mercruiser on my other boat which is my pride and joy.

I did BARR risers and mans on a previous boat, which got sold so I can’t say how long it lasts.
This year I needed new mans and risers on current boat. Mechanic installed OEM Merc parts. When I asked about aftermarket he said he only installs Merc parts because if he has to warranty he wants the best. And I gotta say when I look at them I like seeing the Merc name stamped on them.

I installed BARR on my 260DA - held up well for the next couple of years I owned the boat. The only issue I had at the time was I had to get Mercruiser elbows because at the time BARR did not have an angle to match the ones on my boat. All matched up and worked well though.

Thank you for the replies, it helped me a lot.

I finally got my the manifolds and elbows replaced with Mercruiser and works perfectly, no more smoke. I was shown the old manifolds and elbows. The previous owner had used some orange sealant on them and covered the water galleries.
