Finally got a BBQ - a kuuma installed using the pedestal into the standard fishing rod holder mount.

Pardon the complete newbie question. Would be a pain to tear this down all the time. Assume it's okay to leave it installed when underway etc etc?

Thanks.

Not my boat but looks almost exactly like this:

As long as it is very snug. I'd suggest a sunbrella cover to protect it from water spray and mist. If it's slightly loose then no.

I have no problem leaving mine. We slowed down and made hot dogs half way through our trip yesterday, then back up on plane. We turned it around to cook, it was just thrown there to beat the tide and head out.

Ours mounts on pedestal on the swim platform. Once it comes out and gets set up, it stays in place until we return.
