Baltimore Inner Harbor 2009

It appears the tide will be flowing out of the bay during the day for that time period. I guess the wind will be out of the SE at 20 knots for that weekend.

Well... we will not be at BIH 2009... if anyone really gives a rat's patooty.

My wife informed me today that our boat will be down in Rudee Inlet that weekend for some party.

Sounds like your wife has turned Four Suns ans Warren Manor into a thriving catering business. Maybe she's taking out some of her "anger" on you. You can still come by minivan! Then you can walk nine blocks to get some hot wings that you can leave on my back deck uneaten...

And where's Jim with his offer to host a cocktail party? (Hint, hint).

Gary, you will be missed.

Stan, are you going to bring the boat over, or just the dingy?

BTW, we are SOOOOO going to that same place we went to last year on Sunday night. What was the name of that place again? I felt like a tick when I left...I was ready to explode. Serious good eats.

So-are we all going to Dinghy over to Glory Daze for the Margarita Party?
I am sure the BIH Marina won't mind ten dinghys and twenty screaming kids running up and down the docks.
Stan, can I bring my Golden Retriever too? He really prefers the 48DA cockpit with AC over the puny little un-air conditioned 42DA cockpit that he is stuck with.
Thanks Pal!

Absolutely - we can let the boys loose on the 121' Sunseeker on the bulkhead blocking my view of the harbor! I just gave my daughter's Golden Retriever back to her after a week of dogsitting. Your guy is welcome.

Looking forward to a Yuengling with you!

Looks like a good showing! What are we doing Saturday night under the tent - organized food and drinking - or individual dinners and some serious partying??

STAN - you might as well run the boat over for a better view now that they parked that big boy behind your boat?!

I would suggest an appetizer/cocktail fiesta under the tent at ~ 5:00, and then dinners on our own and then more cocktails under the tent later. I know that a few may want to venture to Fogo de Chao for a meatstravaganza. I won't be going there because it is not the type of place my crew would like. Other suggestions within walking distance are:

Flemings (Steak House, formal)
James Joyce (Irish Pub, casual)
Roy's (Asian Fusion, never been)
Lebanese Taverna (Lebanese/Greek, casual and great food)
Charleston (Continental cuisine, formal and $$$)
Cinghiale (Italian, looks fancy and $$$)
Ra (Sushi/Japanese, casual)
Pazo (Tapas [small plates], pretty fancy and expensive but very good)
Taco Express (nice burritos!)

That's what is within walking distance... doesn't count all the places at harbor place.

We'll probably go to Ra.

Just found out my mom has broken a bone in her foot. She will not be able to travel by boat and I was planning on bringing her to this. Regretably, I'm going to need to cancel this boat trip. I'll still try to come by land, but that's not a given.

Good Afternoon,
While I have been reading for a while this would be my first post. I have a 1988 340 DA, which I keep on the Bohemia River - Upper Northeastern Chesapeake Bay. I have just repowered the boat, and got the word that all is go for this weekend. I have made reservations with Inner Harbor East, they were most kind. I will be leaving the Bohemia River Friday Afternoon around noon, if anyone else is heading down at that time I would be happy to travel together. I will have to figure out how to put the signature in too. Also looking forward to the Still Pond weekend.

Sorry to hear that Larry - was looking forward to catching up with you guys!

Larry-
Sorry to hear about your Mom, I hope she gets on the mend quickly.

Dave-
See you there!

Stan-
Does the margarita machine fit into your dinghy?

We will be leaving Gunpowder Cove early afternoon on Friday, so we should be at Inner Harbor East by 3 or so. If you need any help with setting up or anything else I will be glad to help.

We depart Marine Corps Base Quantico Marina at 2:00 pm or so tomorrow enroute Spring Cove Marina, Solomons Island. Depart Spring Cove mid morning on Friday-plan to be at Inner Harbor East around 2:00 pm or so.

We will be the 420 Dancer with the 5 year old who is on the cover of Gary's Book.

Safe cruising to all.

Skip, we should get there around noon on Saturday. I will try to make a stealth entrance to avoid the judging committee, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope for that. Remember when I get there that I don't have those fancy Madonna-esque wireless headsets like Ryan does. Of course, I don't have a newborn either.

Plus, I think Skip and crew may be winning award for longest distance travelled. If Stan shows up (even on the dinghy) he will win award for shortest distance.
