Hi All,

So I had my boat out today for a couple hours and was running great at normal RPM's. On the way back into port we hit the no wake zone so I took her down to 5 knots and noticed that the engine was sounding "rough" and she had a noticeable vibration. When I got to my slip and put her in neutral the engine still sounded off and the vibration was still there, so it shouldn't have anything to do with my out drive. Beyond the vibration and an idle that sounds "off" s everything else looks good, nothing in my props, fluid levels are good, and all my gauges read normal.

I'm thinking it might be a case of bad fuel because I did throw 30 gallons in my 70 gallon tank on the way back into port. I didn't notice it under power though (it's about three miles between the nearest fuel dock and port), but that might be because it was drowned out by then normal noise/vibration my engine has at higher RPMs. I was planning on hitting the boat shop on lunch tomorrow and getting some fuel additive to help clean it out, but was curious if any other pro's on the forums had tips concerning the issue.

Thanks!

Derek
