After a few months of tinkering around with the carb myself (and headaches resulting from the same), I took it off, took it to a shop, and had it rebuilt.
When it was done I took the boat to the shop and they installed it and tuned it. All for about $250.
LESSON OF THE DAY: Spend the damn money and get it done. Life is too short to waste time on small things like that.
