All,
Sorry to add a new thread here, but I have a quick question, and I'm sure if I searched the forums from a bit I could find the same question but wanted to save some time. Question is; Can Axius work on a boat with twin inboard V-Drives WITHOUT a bow thruster? My guess is no, but if it exists it would have to do it with steering, but in strong winds it probably would not work very well.

OOPS - scratch that (old post deleted). I was thinking the op said "stern drives".

DOH!

No, the axius system relies on being able to independently direct thrust for each drive while engaging fwd/reverse. This is impossible with a V-Drive boat.

All add on joystick systems for shaft drive boats utilize thrusters in combination with engines to achieve similar results to axius.
