Hi All,
Having a warning light coming on "TVM1 TVM: High Hydraulic Oil Temp" - there is scant little info on this on the web. Anyone got any insights into the possible causes and fixes for this?

Have you ever changed the oil filters that are dedicated to the Axius system? They may be clogged and causing the flow to slow and temp to rise. I own the same year and model as you and the manual says these filters should be changed every 3 yrs. Be prepared...they are expensive to replace.

Peter, thanks for the response. Did you replace yours yourself or is this a job for the mechanics?

Let the mechanics do it the first time. Those Gen I systems are EXPENSIVE to fix if they break. So expensive that they are usually cheaper to UPGRADE to Gen II if something happens.

Shacks,

I had my mechanic do it while performing other tasks. I don't think it's a big deal. If you have not changed yours since new, it would be a wise move. May not solve your issue but at least your maintenance would be up to date in this regard.

Shacks,

You're definetly going to want a certified Merc tech take a look at it. Your boat has Generation 1 Axius. If air gets into the hydraulic system while changing the filters it can damage to hydraulic pump. Check your service records or call your local Merc Dealer to check for open Campaigns and Recalls. Your boat/Axius package would have needed the Axius White Glove recall performed.

If you post your serial engine serial numbers, I'd be happy to check for you.

The filters are expensive and can be a challenge to replace sometimes.

Hope this helps,
Carrington - Technician @ Lake Union Sea Ray

Thanks Carrington. I'll get those tonight and post - you ought to see them tomorrow am when you get to work. Again, thanks for taking the time to look into this. We actually bought the boat in the US and imported her into Australia a couple of years ago.
