Hey there... 300SLX here with Axius. Don't use the joystick often but last week, among wind and rain, I grabbed it - bad idea. System started beeping and said, "Shift Error". Then all steering stopped working properly - almost took out my neighbor's dock. Got things back under control and guided myself in using one motor because something didn't seem right when engaging both engines. Since then, starboard engine won't start. Both engines turn-over at full speed and without hesitation, so I don't think it's low battery power and I don't show low voltage. Only the port engine will start. When I try to start the starboard engine the system beeps a lot and says, "Steering System!" Anyone have any ideas?

More than likely your joystick is faulty, bad contacts.
Move it in all directions several times, disconnect the batteries, not just switching the main battey switches. But disconnecting the grounds at the batteries for about a minute.
This might erase the codes and see if it works.
If it does replace the Joystick.

Thanks. That's new advice. BTW, outdrives have always appeared to be parallel to each other. Just notices that port outdrive is pointing straight back (like normal) but starboard outdrive is out about 15 degrees, as if Axius was moving them independently when it all stopped working. Will try your "reset" when I get back next week.
