What is everyone doing this summer? I am heading to the Abacos next week for the Bahamas Fling. There has to be more action going on here. Post your summer fun on your Sea Ray!!!!

Its been a weird year, working A LOT, cool rainy weather earlier in the spring, lately thunderstorms. Boat hauled 2x for various reasons, but almost everything working as it should.

Was up today doing the last minute clean up/punch list items before the 4th week-end. Filled the boat to the tune of $950 for 160 gallons, and pumped the holding tank (free!).

4th will be the first week-end on the boat as a family. Looking forward to it!!!

Abacos sounds AWSOME!!! A couple more years and would love to join you!

Yea been busy also. Some home remodeling and sold the business. But we did/will do some boat traveling - three weeks in the Exumas in May/June, mid July going back to the Abaco then in Sept up to St. Augustine.

We are staying in Texas over the holidays, not wanting to deal with the travel over the weekend.

Probably sometime next week will head down to FL for a couple of weeks.

Oh yea - I'm running the boat over to the pumpout station today - does that count?

We have had good luck with the weather so far. We have been out every weekend up till this point. We are heading to the Vineyard today but tomorrow looks like rain. Sunday and the 4th should be nice so we will get out both those days.

Tom, where and when are you going to be in the Abaco? I leave the 7th and retirn the 17th

Bear Point, Orange Beach, Al. currently. Back to The Office in Savannah next week for a day offshore and a few days of maintenance. Then back to help the kids startup our two new injection machines. Then I may go up to the Oshkosh air ahow and checkout our Runmat booth. Gotta shakedown my 22 Bay, just did alot of motor work. If that is succesful, take it down to Sebastian for a week or so fishing. I do want to hit Carrabelle amd Econfina this year as well. That should get me to mid August at least.

We're lake boating this weekend and then Gulf boating 13th thru 26th. I do miss having a boat just up the road to use every weekend. Have a jetski behind the house but that gets boring pretty quickly.

Shooting for around July 15th to head over. I think this trip we will stay in the north Abaco; maybe Green Turtle but that will be about as far south we go this trip.

We will be leaving Green Turtle on the 15th heading for west end for 2 days.

I want to fuel and clear in Walkers but they are not really ready yet. So, will probably be in West End OBB on the 15th.

In New England for a few months with 50th High School reunion. Now in Otis Mass. headed to Cape Cod for a few weeks, then to Maine, back to Western Mass & CT. for more family and friends. Finally to Pensacola area to visit my son and his family.
Just a few miles on the car this year!

We don’t have a boat that’ll make it to the Abocos any longer
Went to NY for the summer dang it’s hot in Fla July.

Been somewhat of a laid back boating season. Have done 2 and still have scheduled our last of 3 annual trips. We did reduce the "running around" quite a bit due to the fuel crunches and stayed pretty local on any given day. Looking forward to our August trip around Point Lookout and up the Chesapeake Bay to Solomons, Annapolis and Deale. This will be our 5th season doing that particular trip visiting at least one new location each time.

Spent winter doing major maintenance on boat, all new manifolds, risers, elbow, raw water impellers, oil and fuel filter change etc etc for a 3 week spring/summer trip from Palm Coast down thru the keys to Fort Jefferson.
I had all the daily travel legs set-up with reservations and fueling distances.

As departure time got closer, I nervously kept looking at the price of non-ethanol gas and when it hit the "are you seriously out of your mind" we cancelled.

Instead, we are trailering our SeaDoo GTX 170 to Islamorada for about 10 days of diving and exploring.

Our hope is the price of fuel comes down to our comfort level and then we will do the Keys trip or cross from Miami - banks - Nassau - Exumas in the winter.

Since un-landlocking from Lake Lanier in November of last year, we explored Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Pensacola and Dauphin Island from Thanksgiving through Christmas. Then in the spring: Mobile, up the Ten Tom to Lake Pickwick, cruised through Lake's Wheel & Wilson, on to our new marina on Lake Guntersville. A round trip to Chattanooga over Memorial Day Weekend. Hosted the adult daughters on Lake Guntersville for the weekend of the 4th. Hoping get to Knoxville by September to finish up the upper Tennessee. Possibly heading back south sometime in 2023, hoping to join in on some of those Bahamas flings. This image is a good representation of what we've covered:
