Wait.. 50% increase in attendance. Count me in! We now have 3 boats!

Weather permitting, my plan is to head to AC on Thursday and return Saturday. (I am suppose to be out of town for work that Thursday/Friday, but I am trying to get out of it. )

That's some fancy math. You just added one boat and the attendance went up by 50%...but if one of you were to now back out, the attendance would only go down by 33 1/3%.....but yet you would still have 100% of the original 2 boats!!!!

Sounds like an Abbott & Costello routine.

I can just picture the table of gods.

There maybe only three going, but it will be fun... We will bring the Jager Meister to the table of the gods..

Hey - I just made the reservation for the night of the 16th as well.
Rod - Let me know what time you are heading out on the 16th and maybe we will head down with you.

Sounds good Matt, Tentatively, we are planning to leave around 10 AM, I think... I
will know better latter this week...

We are going this weekend with our boat depending on the Weather. Marshall, back to two working engines this year I see! :) We plan to leave pretty early Friday morning so we can catch the airshow on Friday. We are staying until Sunday and may sleep in a hotel (booked the Sheraton already) for the weekend, plus we have no kids this weekend and lots of friends driving down for the weekend too! Should be fun!

Marshal, what time do you plan to leave? Ocean or inside passage or depends on weather? We dock right next to you at Brennan's and would love to ride down with you if you go Friday morning. Ttys.

Hey guys, I am not going to make this trip. Looks like I inherited Marshals black cloud.

My boat has broken down every weekend for past 3 weekends. First break down was caused by the water hose popping off the impeller housing. I decided to take it to a marina to let an expert with longer arms try to reinstall the hose. In order to get the hose back on, the fuel cooler had to be removed. I got the boat back and then engine shut down due to fuel starvation. Marina traced the problem to a fuel pump relay switch, but that fixed only lasted 10 minutes. My boat is back in again for repairs. I am starting to think my Cool Fuel III is delaminating and clogging the fuel pump. Even if the boat is "fixed" again this weekend, I am not comfortable attempting that trip until I know the fix works.

Besides, after laying out $1,000 for boat repairs, $260 for batteries for my jet skis, another $600 for Raymarine to fix my radar and having my windshield broken on the way to the boat this past weekend, I am a little low on $ for fuel.

Marshall doesn't have a black cloud! He usually has at least one functioning engine. That's the only way I can keep up with him!

Wow Vince, you have your hands full this year... Two years ago I had one problem after another, to the tune of $25K... This year not much so far... I just have to figure how to get rid of my oldest child on Thursday and Friday... We plan to leave on Thursday. Leaving Friday morning to make a 10 AM air show wouldn't give me enough room for the inevitable issue that pops up....

I'm thinking about a 0800 start so if I break down again I'll get back to the Marina before Sundown!!! Just kidding!!! The only thing that's a problem on the Boat is the AC.... I cleaned a lot of Crud out of the Strainer over the weekend!! I think the pump is going but I'm going to try putting some of that Barnacle Buster through it before I try to replace it!! Mike let me know if that works for you guy's.... I want to try going out the Barney this time if weathers good... too many Green-heads last trip inter-coastal!!

Works for me. I'd like to do the Barnegat inlet with someone who has done it and I'm more comfortable in the ocean now, especially if I have someone to go with. I have a gps on board now with my iPad (amazing) so I'm ready! I'll be in touch if we decide to take the boat depending on the weather. Ttys.

I prefer the Barnegat inlet to going out PP or LEH... If you don't go out there often, don't cut the western most marker. There is a shoal to North of the channel that goes very far to the west. I have hit ground cutting red turn buoy. Other than that, the only problem I have had is the fishing boats blocking your view of the markers. Use your plotter to confirm where the buoys are. If you go out in the Ocean, when you go past LEH inlet, stay 2 miles out, there are sand bars that extend out more than a mile...

I plan to leave on Thursday morning, and will make the in or out call at that time. I will go out if the seas are less than 5 feet. We prefer the ocean ride because it is less stressful and quicker...
