Anyone have any opinions on the new AT&T Cruise Cast? I know it has limited channels right now, but looks like a cheap alternative to TracVision. I know it is a new system, but now sure how it would perform on a boat?

Have not really paid attention to this recently. Looks like it would work on the boat off 12V. I don't know how the antenna would hold up to constant UV exposure. On the car I am guessing a major part of the time its in the garage.

Line up looks reasonable. If I could get another antenna and put it in the car and the boat it would be tempting.

Unfourtunately that $28/month is a bit steep and if you read the faq it says that they dither down the signal so they recommend viewing only on max. 12" screens. That makes it a little undesirable for the boat at least, once I mount my 32" flat screen in the cockpit how will I impress my slipmates with sub par picture quality....???

You can get the KVH M1 dishes for around $1000 more and then DISH service of 50 channels is $19.99 + $5 for local stations. $4 less then this per month. So in like 21 years you can make up the difference!!! Man you can tell I own a boat with crazy payback equations like that... Or $29.99 for Direct TV.

Plus that grey antenna is going to clash with my white arch...
