Hello Everyone,

I know that the concession stands and services at all the above marinas have closed for the season, but can I still pull into them and dock for the next couple of weeks?

Before it gets too cold and I haul out (on/about 11/14), I was wondering where I can day-trip at Fire Island. My wife and my 17 year-old daughter have basically bailed on any interest in boating for the remainder of the year, but my 15 1/2 year-old daughter is die-hard and wants to keep going as long as we can!

Any comments or ideas would be appreciated.

PS-

It would be a plus if you have any ideas where I wouldn't get charged for a hew hours. I come out of Great River / Islip.

I've been to both Watch Hill and Davis Park after they've officially closed for the season. I'm not sure about Atlantique or Sailors Haven. On a nice fall day any of them are quite stunning and you can enjoy them in virtual solitude. My only caution is that the USPS pulls the channel buoys to Watch Hill (and I'd guess Sailors Haven too) in early November. Have fun.

Thanks, Brian.

Sorry I missed you at Seaview this year! We went to Atlantique for Columbus Day weekend instead (for the first time in about 15 years)...

I'm pretty sure you can go almost anywhere for the day.. Not sure there will even be someone there to tell you that you can't.... Electric might be shut off., chances are it's still on....

I agree that the markers may be all pulled soon, but as long as you have been there before you should be good to go? Maybe :)

But I think you can pull right into Kismet or Ocean Beach or Atlantique.. Not sure about Seaview... But again if no one is there, I say go for it...

Wish I was still in Seaview... Such a happy place..

Kismet is free and the bar/rest is open all year normal hours. I may hear there next weekend if the weather holds out

Electric and water are off at Watch a Hill and Davis Park (I'd bet Sailors as well, since it's the same concessionaire.

Thanks for all the info.

We never made it out this past weekend and it looks like I'll be dropping the boat off to our winter marina in Patchogue this Saturday morning....:smt009
