Does anyone know what size the original down facing Arch lights are or the cut out size. Looking at replacing them

thanks Jamie

The lumitech mirage units went in great without an adapter. They are spring loaded and just drop in without fasteners. Cover up the old perko holes. We went with the dimmed white, red, blue version. It's nice to be able to turn the white on at its lowest setting to quickly look for something while underway. Full bright is pretty overwhelming.

I replaced my arch lights with Lumitec Orbit LED lights. Quickly toggling the switch on the dash changes the color from White to Red to Blue to Purple.

I also purchased the universal trim ring to replace the original fixture.

I just installed mine. Couldn't be happier with the result. I love being able to toggle colors and brightness. Install for two lights was about 8 minutes.

Thanks...Have their underwater lights on the stern and am very happy with them.....will look into these. Thanks. Jon

My blue/red/purple/whites are not dimmable.

They're pretty bright

I order the Lumitec orbits with trim ring in dimming white only. all of the other lights i replaced last season are white only so just easier to stick with that

had i thought this through from the beginning i would have preferred the colour change

I'm hoping I'll be happy with the brightness in the real world at night. I'll know for sure sometime in May.

Are you saying it has remote capabilities while using the factory rocker (carling) switch?

I'm not sure what you mean by remote capabilities. My lights don't dim, but cycling the factory rocker switch on the dash off and on within one second will cycle through the colors on the lights. If you leave the lights off for several seconds they will always turn back on with the color white.

My understanding of the dimmable lights are that when you turn the power on, the light starts dim then slowly ramps up to full intensity. When the light output is where you want it, cycle the switch on the dash and that intensity setting is locked in.

I'll have to try the dimming feature next time I'm up there working. They are pretty damn bright.

web site says different models dim different colors. dimmable white but non dimmable red and blue. Or just plain white, dimmable and non dimmable,
Lots of options

I know this thread is a little dated, but am curious if the Lumitech Mirage or Orbit lights work better for the lower cockpit lights? I was looking at the Mirage in White dimmable with Blue and Red, for Arch and all lower cockpit lights, but am concerned they may not stay put in the vertical mounted position (near floor). Thoughts? Experience with this? Thanks.

Actually, I did the 4-color non-dimmable Halos for the arch and lower cockpit lights, using their adapters.
