I was thinking with Aquapoloza coming up on the 22. how many of the tampa Bay CSR members would be attending. It might be a good time to get to know each other face to face.

Any takers?!

Is it coming up? :smt021 I thought I had already missed it, but I guess it's to late to signup now too :smt009

heck man it's an open party invite. you only need to sign up if you want the MM crew to give you some free bies.

aquapoloza is open to all boaters, just show up. put it on your calendar and let's meet up.

I'm afraid I'll be at the Ballpark - my 13 year old daughter is playing in the (softball) World Series, which starts the 22nd, and lasts (hopefully) all week.

ylwjacket;

if I remmber right you seem to miss more boating events do to Softball/Baseball than is socially exceptable. If memory servers me right you missed caladesi either this year or last year because of a game...

Specially with a boat as big as his, I'd be at all the events.

Tphinney,

I will be out there on the 22nd. I will probably tow my boat and launch at Maximo by the skyway and head out from there. I moved out near apollo beach from st pete last year....dont think I want to try to make the full trip by boat in a 180 on the bay. A little too rough and the chance of getting caught in the storm make trailering a better idea for me. I will try to be out there by 10AM....I will look for you....Anyone else here going??????

I still don't know if I'll be there or not.

1. Still waiting on my boat.
2. If I get my boat back before the weekend I've not decided where I'll put it.

thats why I have a butane stove and a refridgerator for. I normally will try to sneak out during the week and go out by myself for the day and work from the boat. i bring coffe, beer, sodas, lunch so Sunday should be no different.

can't wait, I need a break...

Morpheus if you get your'e boat back the offere still stands to meet up on upper Old Tampa Bay and ride down convoy style. you can drop into my wake if you want. it's normally a 45 minute to hour + run, but well worth it.

I'll talk to the wife about it tonight and see what she wants to do. Sounds like a good plan.

Our very first trip on the boat was from Safety Harbor out to the right of the sky way through the channels and back around to the south side of the sky way where we floated and had lunch and watch some big boats go buy then came back. Was a 4 hour trip and about half tank of gas.

So I've been atleast that far and it's not much further from there from what I see on the map.

If we do go as long as your not rafting up with the REST of the sea ray hurd I'd like to raft up to you as I've only got 1 anchor at the moment havn't had a chance to order a Fortress FX7 as recommended. That way I'm not tied in the middle of a bunch of boats and when the Wife is ready to go we can go.

Anyways I'm gonna call them today and see where things are at and when I might be able to either pick up the boat (so I can inspect) but they did offer to bring it to me so we will see but I'll let you know.

Thanks for the offer.

Morpheus;

I would recommend the FX11 for your 240SD over the FX7, and you should not have to order it. just go over to West Cypress and the corner of North Church st. West Marine is right there or if that is not close go over to country side mall there is a Boaters world in the strip mall on the corner between country side mall and US19. either place should have it in stock.

as for rafting up. I'm not a big fan of it out at Egmont; to many boats going by half on plane. 2 + weeks ago I saw a 30+ formula and a 30+ searay trying to tear each others rub rail off. they eventually seperated and anchored a couple of feet from each other.

Duke;

Nice looking ride, do you put in at palm harbor, if so maybe you me and Morpheus can all caravan done?!

I was avoiding paing West Marine's STEEP prices :)

Someone with a SD240 recommended the FX7 not sure if the FX11 will fit in the spot where the anchor is I'll have to measure.

FX7 16'-27'
FX11 28'-32'

My boats is 26' (24' with 2' swim platform)

yea ea egmont people like to fly by on plane .. what these guys dont realize and i didnt until i got my chartplotter is that there is a alot of shallow spots in the middle of no where over there.. but egmont is great!

T - 4 days and counting....

anyone have firmed up plans on when you'll be heading out and where you be coming from...

as for me:

I'll be coming out of channel A on upper old tampa bay hopefully leaving the dock around 9 AM (10 at the latest if I can at all help it).

I plan on tuning into channel 72 and keeping an ear out for any hails to CSR members.

:huh: Still waiting on my boat, about time for them to top the gas off now :thumbsup:

If I go I have a feeling at this point it could be a last minute decision. If I am able to go I'll be sure to get on channel 72 and see if I can find you from 9am on but don't wait around for me.
