I've planning on attending this event for the first time this year. I'm still a pretty new boat owner and I'm trying to venture out a little more. Was wondering if anyone had been previously or knew any additional information about the event that might help a newbie? Also, would like to meet up with other CSR members. I met up with a couple of boats for the first time this weekend and had a blast. I'd like to continue to meet up with others in the Annapolis/Northern Chesapeake area and fully enjoy my boat. Thanks. Also, Can't seem to be able to place a signature and pic on the bottom...Little help would be great.

Hi bmredram. We will be attending and running up to the event with "All Arbor'd" and you and any other CSR members are welcome to raft up with us. We usually run on channel 65 so feel free to hail us when you arrive.

This should be an easy trip for you from Annapolis. Just go around Love Point and follow the markers past the Corsica River to Conquest Beach.

There was one?

Which is to say... I didn't know there was another 'palooza at Conquest Beach. I thought Clarks skipped a year, alternating with Marina Max (which I believe is holding one at Hart-Miller).

Does anyone know if one is any better than the other? I'm assuming that the Chester River has nettles by now.

I was up at Conquest Beach Saturday and there were a few. I was in the water for about an hour and never got hit. I know Clarks is having a band at Conquest not sure about the one at Hart Miller

I was in the Chester River on Saturday changing my zinc's and didn't get stung, but there were a few nettles just outside our marina.

From Clark's

Clarks Landing's Aquapalooza on Saturday, July 19 from 12-7pm at Conquest Beach on the Chester River! I wanted to take a moment to fill you in on some of the event details. We have over 150 boats registered this year and we're looking forward to a great day on the water!! This event is a one-day raft-up party to celebrate the boating lifestyle to the fullest and because of that, it is a by-water event only.

We will have two live bands performing this year. Nothin' But Trouble will perform from 12-3 and Bad Neighbors will play from 4-7pm. In addition, we will have food/soft drinks (while they last) from 1-4pm, giveaways, prizes, games and more. On land there are horseshoe pits, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, picnic tables, and bathrooms. There will be a 15ft water slide on land for the kids. Dean's Yacht Tenders will be raffling off a small inflatable dinghy for $20 a chance. For the little ones (and the young at heart), we'll have sand toys, water guns, bubbles, hula hoops, etc for them to play with.

RAFTING UP
We will have NINE Clarks Landing Boats in the water with blue Clarks Landing flags identifying them. You are welcome to tie up with these boats or start your own lines, or raft up next to an already started line. We will have a Clarks Landing boat going around helping people anchor up if they need it. We are monitoring VHF Channel 72 if you have any questions.

Don't forget to bring the essentials: FENDERS, EXTRA ANCHOR, BOAT HOOK.

Don't forget the fun stuff: anything you need for a great day on the water including sunscreen, rafts, floats, noodles, drinks/food (ours is only available while it lasts!), friends and family.

CLARKS LANDING STAFF
We will have on dark blue Clarks Landing ball caps and light blue Aquapalooza shirts that have "Event Staff" on the back. Be on the lookout for us if you have any questions, etc.

DINGHY's - rides from ship to shore
If you are on a larger boat and have an inflatable dinghy, you should bring it. For the rest of you, we will have four Mercury Inflatables provided by Dean's Yacht Tenders on-site to transport you to and from shore. We will be monitoring VHF Channel 72. Because of the high number of people we expect to join us, there may be a wait for the inflatable.

FREE T-SHIRTS
If you registered for this event online at www.aquapalooza.com on or before July 1st, you are entitled to two FREE t-shirts. Visit the tent on land, next to the Pavilion, to pick up your shirts. If you did not register online on or before July 1st you are NOT eligible for two free shirts. BUT, we will be giving away shirts, hats, frisbees, inflatables, coozies, cups and more throughout the day so don't despair!!

SEA RAY OWNERS CLUB
If you are a Sea Ray owner, visit with the Sea Ray Owner's Club under the tent to receive points and a FREE Sea Ray hat (one per boat)!

Thanks everyone for your replies. jrirvine1, look forward to meeting up with you. Thanks for all this information as well. Just so you know, my boat's name is "Crime Scene." Look forward to meeting you and other CSR members.

Thanks Jim... I guess I shouldn't be so quick to delete those Clarks Landing e-mails!

I'll run this by the crew, we had fun last year. Of course most of it came from various "anchoring adventures" involving both Fours Suns (dragging) and my boat (windlass jam requiring a manual retrieval).

We will be going. Coming out of Rock Hall. This is our second year. The Hart/Miller event will have a DJ and hotdogs. The Clark event is 2 live bands and a barbq. Clarks did a great job last year, so we are picking that one again this year.

I guess the only suggestion I can make try to get in close enough that you can walk to the beach. Since you have a 22', that should be no problem. Hopefully some of us can meet up.
Up to this point, we have been solo boaters on the bay. We dont know any other boaters in the area other than seeing some familiar names here on the forum.

FESTIVUS - just wanted to say thanks to whoever it was in your party on Sunday that chased our raft down in Swan Creek. That wind caught it and it was moving faster than I could go without causing a wake. I payed the good deed forward by pulling out a stuck sailboat further up the creek on our way back to the dock.

We'll be there - coming out of Annapolis. Its a nice little run up the Chester. Last year go there a little late and missed most of the festivities. We'll be there right around 12 this year. Our Sea Ray "boat friends" are going to be out of town - so we're making the trip solo w/ a couple friends on board. We'd love to meet up with other CSR members as well. We've got a blue hulled 280 - "Knot Workin'" See y'all there!

Hey Clark's Landing - Thanks!

We didn't register but we showed up with guests on board and had a great time. The bands were really great, food was great, etc. Conquest Beach has a lot to offer this event - great spot.

Any chance I could get a left over T-shirt?

I've got some Pix. I'll need to get them posted and then post a link.
I think I saw you there. were you anchored right in front 2 340SBs rafted together?
I was paddling around in a sea ray swim ring checking out the boats.

here is a picture...i think.

We were anchored in Swan Creek for the storms, I think the worst went around us. We got mostly rain but could hear some major thunder in the distance. You would think that being rafted would give the boats more stability. We heard a rescue going on in the Bay Bridge vacinity. Everyone was escued successfully. It's hard to imagine a storm powerful enough to flip 3 rafted boats.
