AquaPalooza 2010 Signature Event

It's official! The AquaPalooza 2010 Signature Event is headed to Lake Travis, Texas. :smt038

Hosting the event this summer is Sail & Ski Center, a leading Sea Ray dealer that was recently ranked as the No. 1 dealer in North America by Boating Industry magazine.

So, whether it will be your first AquaPalooza or your fifth, start calling your friends for what is sure to be a great time.

Date is set July 31st. Ticket is your BOAT. The entertainment isn't named yet but will be very soon.

Who's planning to attend this year's AquaPalooza at Lake Travis?

Where is a good place to launch with overnite slips?

Would love to join in the fun,,, but boat is too large to travel. Was looking to rent one for the weekend. Suggestions?

Hey does anybody know of a marina that is renting slips for the week of aquapalooza? I have heard that the marina hosting the event is but the slips start at 1200 for the week!

I think if you are just now looking - anything you find is going to be very expensive. I have not checked, but am hearing that all houseboats and such are booked already.

There aren't any "transient" slips on the lake that I know of.

We have rented lakeside houses with docks for holiday weekends in the past. With our Texas boat broke for this season, I think we're going to miss this one. Oh well...

Time for LOTO!

If anybody is looking for a slip to rent by the day for the week of aquapalooza, I just rented one at Emerald Point for $45 per day, but he only had about 5-6 spots left. This marina is located about 30 min boat ride from the area where the concert is. Ask for Doug!:smt038

Very cool. Good to hear.

If you are bringing your boat to the lake, and have not been on Lake Travis before, please note the channel markers and be wary of the insides of the original river channels on the curves. They can be very shallow - and they get shallow very very quickly. Most are marked fairly well.
