Apalachicola Seafood Festival!

Slept on the boat last night. Slept like a baby. I stayed back in the mid-cabin berth because the front was bound to be rocking and bouncing when the winds turned SE from East (E is protected, SE is the worst).

Woke up a couple of times. Winds were roaring up to 50 mph with heavy rain. Went back to sleep. Walked the docks at the peak. Boats were all good - didn't adjust a thing. Our marina manager (lady) actually walked the docks last evening and made some adjustments. The water was 1/2 way up into the parking lot.

I took 4 videos. I'll post at least one later. Came straight to work after a nice breakfast on the boat - made myself lox, bagels, cream cheese, onions, and caviar, microwaved egg w/cheese, juice and coffee.

Good deal!!! You must have floating docks.:smt038

We do on our 1/2 (actually about 1/4) of the marina. Walking back to my boat at the wharf end, it reminded me of that video of the suspension bridge that collapsed with the stalled car on it from the 50's or so, but a lot less violent.

Boss Oyster is still there and very expensive for the fare served. It seems to have turned into a biker's destination. The last couple of years, you couldn't find a parking place for all the Harleys there.

The storm videos from my phone didn't transfer to photobucket too well. Something's wrong with the sound. Try to imagine loud halyard banging, gusty winds, and water splashing around. Then, try to picture waves and boats rocking in the darkness, walls of water blasting across the screen, and the pier pitching up and down with the waves. The water is way up on the breakwater. The floating piers are elevated from the wharf... Maybe I should have just written a description.
