If this is what it takes to get Gary out of hiding then so be it.

He can even bash my liberal view and I won't whine to Wes or Jim

Hey look a guy with more liberal views than the rest of you wants to see Gary back in his full glory, smart ass, right wing im right your an idiot view.

Maybe there is hope in this world.

Greg should double dislike me for this post. I like Gary and I'm a democrat

It's all good....we can change your shirt order to a "Democrats For Gary" shirt. Maybe that will bring him out of hiding.

I am angry and pissed off about this thing our country called an election last night and the thousands of college kids running up and down the street celebrating....is one really mature enough to cast a vote for president at age 18?

Really Greg you want to put this up to debate?? Even the conservatives on this site will battle you on this...I hope.

Life is better shared with people of opposing views. Too much back slapping gets boring! Besides, without the other party, what would we all have to bitch about?

If it wern't for Liberals, I wouldn't exist; my parents are Liberals. Just glad they didn't have Planned Parenthood back then :)

In my opinion, what Sfergson said gets down to the heart of the problem. We need to stop looking to one man, and a building full of politicians to make our lives better. Start looking to your kids, start teaching your kids. The problem isn't Rep. or Dem. It's US! Personal responsibilty has left us, as has pride, in our Country and ourselves. I don't want a handout, I want to be resonsible enough to take care of myself, my family. I will pay my share of the taxes, but expect others to pay theirs as well. Our Country has become a society of loosers! People are afraid to let others fail, and learn. Make your children learn from there mistakes, don't cover it up as someone else's fault. As to the race issue, how many voted because of race and how many against for the same reason? I didn't vote because of race, and I'm of the thought that a racist is a racist no matter what color you are. Think about this, Can you explain the term "reverse racism" to me??
Grow up people, quit blaming our problems on others and take accountability for ourselves and have some pride, in yourself and the life you lead!

:smt038One of the best quotes I have ever read on CSR I don't want a handout, I want to be responsible enough to take care of myself, my family. I will pay my share of the taxes, but expect others to pay theirs as well. Our Country has become a society of losers! People are afraid to let others fail, and learn

See everyone... Surfnjoe and i have differing view on things, had a spat, poked some fun, and now are over it. This is a start

Just a little experiment Joe, how old are you?

I hope someday you eat your words. You are what is wrong with this country. I was going to keep my mouth shut but someone had to be blatantly racist...

What concerns me is what I have been hearing on the radio and TV today. "America has finally broken the racist barrier!" Huh?

Does that mean that because I voted for Palin, I am a racist?

Most all of black people I work with voted for Obama, not becuase of his policies, but becuase he is black. Is this in its self racist?

I hope he does a good job. Time will tell. If he does not, America will respond. But then again, most were against the Wall Street bailout and both Dems and Rep ignored the American people.

Back in the day, this post would have gotten you a whole bunch of reputation points, maybe even taken all the way to expert!

Well i hope you voted for McCain but if you voted for Palin you are just a Homer. Her policies work in Alaska but would they work large scale?

Most all of black people I work with voted for Obama, not becuase of his policies, but becuase he is black. Is this in its self racist?

Is that a Fact?

You are correct. Time will tell

I compare the present to the 60s. At that time it was unimagineable that an event like last night could ever happen. In that light I can understand some of the statements about finally breaking racist barriers. This election was the ultimate in statements. For the record I did not vote for this man but I'll be optimistic and hope that he can lead. I hope he's a Big 'O' or Larry Bird or Magic Johnson, when the chips were down and the pressures on they could lead and really shine.
Your post could lead to a dicussion on pretty deep stuff. I'm thinking on this forum we all may be better off limiting the deep stuff to water.

Yes it is. Unfortunate. I have asked many in the black community why they are voting for Obama. 9 out of 10 responses were because he is black and will be the first black president. Not because of his policies.

Woody: You do have a point.

Thats a shame. This is a good topic to disect and would be interesting to see if it held true on a national level.

I am angry and pissed off about this thing our country called an election last night and the thousands of college kids running up and down the street celebrating....is one really mature enough to cast a vote for president at age 18? I am also getting sick to my stomach this morning seeing all the interviews with african americans crying and rejoicing. You don't think this election was about race...think again. I never once looked at Obama as an african american until this morning.

It's no longer God Bless America, it's God Help America.

I don't have a racist bone in my body.
But you are so right...

A couple of months ago GMA was doing an interview with an African American family about Obama. I nearly choked on my damn bagel when the woman actually SAID she was voting for Obama BECAUSE HE IS BLACK. I couldn't believe it- and the interviewer just let it go...

Now, if a white person said he was voting for McCain beacuse he is white (meaning NOT voting for Obama because he's black) just what do you suppose would have happened?
