Anyone want to talk about old cars or cars in general?

We've owned our 67 Corvette Coupe since 1973. Couldn't afford to have it if we purchased it these days. A vintage Corvette and a modern Sea Ray DA, it don't get any better! Al W.

I've always been into the 66-77 early broncos. Just something about them for me. Also work on two 64 Austin Healey's, a 58 MGA and a TR6. Heres a few pics of my latest 77 bronco project. SB

I owned two MGA's myself "back in the day". My first one was a 57 MGA. It became pretty troublesome and I bought a new MGA in 1960. I really liked that one but didn't own it too long. I had to give it up to buy something more "practical" for the family. I still have the original MGA shop manual somwhere around the house and I still have a soft spot for MGA's when I see one.

This one has been great so far. Had an electrical problem a couple of years ago, and they ran new wiring throughout for me. I start it up every week or so and drive it around the block to keep it from...well not sure from what, just seems to make sense to run it lol.

Limited use vehicle here. Summers are good to ride around, but I dislike going on route 95 with it. I am used to an xterra and Armada, so this thing feels like a death trap.I mostly just ride around my neighborhood and surrounding towns for errands, or the occasional back road jaunt.

That's quite a background you have in restoring cars. Looks like the story behind the f-88 is an interesting one as well. I sort of skimmed thru it and will read it thoroughly when I get a chance. Did you restore your Sorrento or have you done any restoration work on other boats?

Dave

I restored an older 15' outboard with new stringers, floor, transom, fuel tank, etc. and then bolted on an XR150 with a jackplate and nose cone. That was fun! But its way down the road now.

I'm working on the Sorrento all the time but I'm trying to keep it to small projects so the boat is always usable. Mostly its been upgrades and options added so far with the exception of a complete bottom paint strip job and a complete sand/polish job with new decals and stripes. Hoping to get going on the upholstery next.

I have a 90 240SX in the garage that I'm hoping to transplant an LS-1 6-speed into. The swap reduces the car's weight by 148 lbs, adds a gear, and doubles the HP. But the boat always gets all of my free time and that probably won't change when I get to Tampa.
