I have been researching Freshwater Cooling systems for my 2004 5.0 MPI Bravo 3. It is in a 240 Sundancer.
The boat was an '04 leftover and has been run in salt and fresh water over the last three seasons. The engine has always been flushed with freshwater after each use with freshwater and saltaway...but I'm tired of worrying about the manifolds and last year my heater exchanger in the hotwater heater corroded through. I'm ready for FWC - that said my 5.0 runs beautifully, never breaks 160 degrees, and has been flawless......AND I prefer to keep it that way.:smt038
I am very impressed with the PPT FWC cooling system which is supposedly exactly like the Mercruiser System. http://www.perfprotech.com/store/pr...pacity-Premium-Full-System-5320-8B,25422.aspx The system PPT sells is made by Montior Systems of Brooksville, FL. and I have spoken with them directly and been equally impressed.
1. Has anyone at this used the PPT/Monitor System FWC full system?
2. If so, how is the system and installation?
3. With the 160 t-stat, where is your temp running.
Thanks for the help and information.
