Anyone try the mooring reservation system at Two Harbors?

I've played with it and plan to utilize it this Friday. Even if you want to reserve starting on a Wednesday, if you plan to stay over the weekend, you cannot reserve online until the day of... Since I go over on Friday's, I can't reserve until the morning of...

I will report back after the weekend and let you know how it works.

Thanks.
We're going to try and stay over the July 4th holiday.
Harbor master told us if we roll in by Monday, we may be able to pull it off and not have to anchor.

I seem to remember being told that Monday is when they start the "seniority list" as far as who gets moved to what moorings when owners show, so that makes sense. I wish Avalon would do this. I'm tempted to try heading over there tomorrow instead, but don't feel like burning the extra fuel to get there and then head to the Isthmus if they try to stick me out in Hamilton or Descanso.

Update - I used the reservation system this past weekend. I happened to be up past midnight on Thursday night, so I made the reservation then for Friday. When you arrive, you still have to wait for the harbor patrol boat and they come over and look up your reservation based on last name. They then ask where you would ideally like to be and assign based on what is available. I asked why they couldn't assign a mooring when reserving or just tell me over the radio when I arrive. The answer was that the least attractive moorings are held when a reservation is made. Upon arrival, they do their best to move you to what may be better and available.
