I hear we're 10 feet above normal. Highport is flooded out and they are shutting down the power to the slips. I can't believe this crap. :wow: :smt101 :smt013

Oh well, we needed the rain anyway for the lower lakes. All part of boating fun... :smt089

The Red is higher today than we have seen in a couple of years. The word is when the river starts to drop then they will open the gates at Texhoma. We will have high water till June.

You are correct they are pulling the power at Highport today. I am on boat house 10 at Mill Creek and our electric is above flood stage so we do not lose power due to flooding. Just another reason for me to not go back to Highport. The USCE say Monday crest if no more rain around 630'. However there is more rain in the forecast. Memorial is a wash-out and if this does not slow down July 4th is next. Gates are still closed due to down stream flooding.

We are at Walnut Creek. I went and checked on the boat a couple of days ago and the only boat houses that have access is 7,(we are in 7)8,9 and the power is still on. You can't get to the gas dock or connecting boat houses from the parking lot. The ramp is still usable if the wind is out of south since all the debris goes to the north shore. I also heard Cedar Mills closed their ramp.

We're still going Memorial Day but will probably just hang at the slip and have a flood party. May have to put the flat bottom fishing boat in and use it as a shuttle.

Once the power goes off the boat comes out so I can sleep.

Here is the link for the most upadte information concerning the lake. http://www.swt.usace.army.mil/recreat/laketexoma/webpagetexoma/LakeTexomaDailyForecast/index.htm

I took the small fishing boat out for about 4 hours yesterday to see what was still floating in the water. There were a few large brush piles and logs still floating here and there but overall just use caution and run slow. We are not going to take to 260 DA out this weekend and just run the smaller boat if we want to get out on the water.

Thanks for the info & website! Sadly, we arent planning on going out this weekend either....sent ya a PM..... Don
